This fall signature event in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank returns once again with runs for kids and adults, food, drinks and entertainment.

The Granville Island Turkey Trot is in its 20th year and brings an estimated 1,800 people to Granville Island on Thanksgiving Monday. Also returning for the second year is the Kids Fun Run on Sunday, October 8th.

Please note the following traffic changes for Monday 09 October:

  • 6am to 8am - Cartwright Street, east of Old Bridge, will be accessible only to car poolers, deliveries, Sea Village residents and Granville Island Hotel patrons.
  • Between 7am and 9am, traffic will be congested and parking will be limited. 
  • 8:15am to 8:50am - Inbound and outbound traffic will be held at the entrance to the island. During the same period, any traffic that is circulating on the island will be asked to stop while the runners exit Granville Island. There will also be no stopping in the loading zone in front of the Public Market.
  • Regular traffic patterns will be fully restored by 9am.
