The Relief

You’ll find an important vestige of BC’s fishing heritage resting on stilts just above the waterline. The Relief was built in 1929 and served as a fishing boat and rumrunner over its long career on both of Canada’s coasts. Donated by the Sand Bar restaurant, the Relief is a pleasant reminder of Granville Island’s industrial roots. It’s now on display behind the Creekhouse.
