Vancouver’s first pet bakery is on Granville Island

The Pet Treatery opened Vancouver’s first pet bakery 1985 in the red caboose (an old train caboose, remnant from Granville Island’s industrial past) beside the Kid’s Market. The bakery creates artisanal, hand crafted treats for the animal community.
Owner, Stuart, focuses on developing delicious recipes that combine much needed functionality with all natural, human-grade ingredients, while co-owner, Salomon “Sal”, manages the business, retail and online business.
Their line of everyday, all-natural pet treats are now available in over 2,500 stores throughout North America, as well as online, but it all started right here on Granville Island!
For locals, it makes for a great dog walk down to Granville Island, and even for the occasional cat!
