26th Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival

The dance of the sun and earth has inspired celebrations of the human spirit, expressed through art and music, throughout the ages. Honouring many cultural traditions, the Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival illuminates the longest night of the year with the singing drumming, music and dancing of peoples from around the world! Activities take place all over Granville Island; for more information visit www.secretlantern.org.
TRIANGLE SQUARE
5pm – 6:30pm: Lantern Sales
5:30pm – 6pm: Vancouver Morris Men perform
6:20pm: Procession leaves Triangle Square with the Carnival Band

PERFORMANCE WORKS AND RON BASFORD PARK
6pm – 10:30pm: Labyrinth of Light – tickets available at www.secretlantern.org (Performance Works)
9:30pm: Ron Basford Park – Fire Finale – music and fire performance to end the night
