Altar de Muertos

Día de Muertos is a remembrance celebration of our dearly departed, the Altar de Muertos being the most important element. We are teaming up with Granville Island and setting up a beautiful altar commemorating this beautiful tradition celebrated in some Latin American Countries like Mexico, Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Peru.
The public will be able to appreciate it anytime during October 12th to November 2nd. On its closing on November 2nd, we will host a community gathering to remember our dearly departed with live music, Mexican food and hot chocolate. We will laugh, cry, and remember that being alive is a blessing and that death is not the end. Visit their website for more information.
In addition to the altar, Latincouver is working together with Latin American Artists in order to create a beautiful exhibition, Perceptions of Mother Earth, for you to enjoy it during the Month of October. This exhibition will be open to the public, daily 11am-6pm, and feature artists from El Salvador and Mexico.
