Greenpeace is an organization that started in 1971 in Vancouver, and this year marks its 50th anniversary. A champion for all issues environmental, from nuclear weapons, to endangered species, to climate change, and more, Greenpeace is still active in protecting the planet and its inhabitants from destruction. To commemorate their anniversary, an outdoor gallery of historic photos is on display on Old Bridge Street from October 9th to 30th. For more information on Greenpeace, visit www.greenpeace.org.
