Join us for Live Painting Demonstrations with Vancouver Island-based artist April Ponsford. Profoundly inspired by the natural elements that surround the artist, Ponsford’s abstract landscapes are a unique West Coast allusion to mid-century mastery. Painting against a backdrop of hand-carved stone sculptures of the Contemporary Zimbabwean Sculpture Movement — a permanent fixture to Ukama Gallery — Ponsford attributes inspiration in part to the surrounding stone, just as her canvases bring their nuanced beauty to life.
