Strathcona Spatial Sound Society and Lobe are excited to invite audiences to MOTHER CLOUD, a 5-day winter festival that presents new work in spatial sound on a large-scale, omni-directional speaker array, powered by 4DSOUND. This annual festival showcases the best international and local performances in the emerging medium of spatial sound. The shows in this program take place in an intimate setting with a stage positioned in the middle of the room. Audiences sit, stand, or lay on mats and chairs, making for a comfortable and open way to bask in the rich textures and frequencies of the performances. It is truly the only festival of its kind in the country!
