For the first time, False Creek Racing Canoe Club is offering a fun way for youth and adults to stay active in our Sunset Drop-in or Saturday Drop-in Dragon Boat Sessions! We will be on beautiful False Creek in a safe and fun environment learning the technique of dragon boat paddling during a picturesque sunset!
Did you know that a Dragon Boat holds 20 paddlers, 1 Coach (or caller) at the front, and 1 Steersperson at the back of the boat standing up? Each seat has its own unique role to play within the boat, which creates an exciting and fun dynamic within the boat! Do you think you’re up for the challenge to experience what each seat’s role is, learn the stroke technique, and make some new friends?
6pm to 8pm Fridays; 11am to 1pm Saturdays
