Granville Island Public Market update, March 25, 2020 (updated April 3)

Granville Island Public Market remains open daily for essential grocery shopping and to support Vancouverites in accessing fresh, healthy foods. A complete list of merchants open for business is below.
Hours: Effective March 28, operating hours will be 9 am – 5 pm daily. Please, seniors only before 10 am.
Our Provincial Health Officer suggests a designated grocery shopper for each household, and encourages people to reach out to elderly neighbours to include their needs in your shopping. The BC Government is also asking that you not not bring your own disposable shopping bags or containers at this time.
The Market remains open for local grocery shoppers only. Groups and tours are not allowed in the market and visitors are discouraged for the time being. There are no seating or gathering places in the market at this time, and all food and beverage must be consumed off site.

Fortunately, because the market is so open and spacious, our customers are able to observe this social distancing regulation, and our wonderful cleaning staff do an exceptional job of keeping the market sanitized and clean. That said, please touch only the products you intend to buy or ask a merchant to assist you.
Our produce, meat, fish, dairy and bakery merchants are all open and fully stocked. Tenderland Meats is offering delivery on orders over $100. The Grainry has rice, legumes and any spice or herb you can think of! There is milk, eggs, cheese, butter, yogurt and other essentials at The Milkman, and Benton Brothers offers a fine selection of cheese. Liberty Wine Merchants continues to be open daily.
Oyama Sausage is open, and suggests you order, pay online and pick up from the back counter, but if you need to shop in person, please respect the 2-metre social distancing rule.
A Bread Affair is baking daily, and offering sandwiches for takeout. Laurelle’s is also baking select bars, cupcakes, pies and cookies, as well as heat-and-serve takeout meals. The Granville Island Tea Co. is selling packaged tea, as well as offering online sales, and Petit Ami and Blue Parrot are both selling coffee to go.
Across the Island, some artisans are working in their studios, but they are closed to the public. Please check the signs on their doors for contact information. The Pet Treatery, in the old red caboose, is open for your essential fur person needs, while their neighbour, The Licorice Parlour, opens for people treats a few hours a week.
Of course, we have a number of significant temporary closures across the Island with the Artisan District, Net Loft, Kids Market, Creekhouse, Maritime Market and all recreational areas, including parks, playgrounds and picnic areas closed. False Creek Community Centre, along with their tennis and basketball courts, are also closed, as is the Granville Island Hotel, Granville Island Brewing and all of the theatres and performance spaces, interior and exterior, on the Island. False Creek Ferries and Aquabus have temporarily suspended service, and there is no transient boat moorage or vessel disembarkation allowed until further notice.
The Post Office beside the Pet Treatery Caboose remains open Mon-Fri 10 am – 3 pm, and Opus Framing & Art Supplies has a pickup counter for online sales only.
Additionally some businesses on the Island do have online sales, please check individual websites in our directory https://granvilleisland.com/directory
This is truly an extraordinary time in our global history. Thank you for supporting the small businesses on Granville Island. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Granville Island in the near future.
Please, stay healthy.
